REG Installed at Lake Pontchartrain Causeway for High-Speed Plate Capture

Extreme CCTV’s International Inc.’s REG camera is being used to capture license plates for a tolling application from vehicles traveling at highway speeds at Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in New Orleans. The 24-mile long bridge holds the distinction as the world’s longest bridge and carries an estimated 30,000 vehicles per day.The REG cameras will provide high contrast images of license plates from vehicles traveling up to 100 miles per hour - day and night. The project was completed by Stealth Security, a Louisiana-based company specializing in consultation, installation and service of integrated security systems.
