Here’s a look at what’s happening weather-wise in Chambersburg and across Franklin County as we wrap up the week and head into the weekend:
Today (Friday):
A mix of clouds and a few stray showers throughout the day. High around 62°F. Mild evening with a low near 54°F.
Saturday:
Feeling more like summer than spring! Expect partly sunny skies and record-challenging warmth with highs reaching 83°F. A great day to get outside—just don’t forget your sunscreen.
Sunday:
Clouds roll back in with a few passing showers possible. Still warm, with a high around 73°F and a low of 60°F.
Monday:
Keep an eye on the sky. Showers and thunderstorms are likely, especially in the afternoon. Some storms could bring strong wind gusts and hail. Highs near 72°F, dropping to 40°F overnight.
Tuesday:
Cooler and breezy with a return of sunshine. High around 57°F. Overnight temps dip close to freezing at 30°F.
Wednesday:
Partly sunny and breezy. A bit on the cooler side with a high near 56°F.
Thursday:
Warming back up with increasing clouds. Expect gusty winds and the chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. High near 72°F.
